Sunday Recap

Happy Planner

Hey y’all, I thought I would try to do a weekly update on the projects and other stuff that I have going on that doesn’t actually make it into a blog post, what do you think?  Please let me know if this doesn’t interest you at all! 😉

So, for the first week of 2017 things have been pretty hectic, I’m trying really hard to make sure that I do yoga at least 3 times each week as well as trying to drink more water (I literally only drank maybe 16oz water a week last year! The rest was coffee, tea and wine).

I had loads of fun setting up my Happy Planner for the new year, in case I haven’t told you, I’m totally hooked on this thing.  For as long as I can remember my life has been chaotic, I never made firm plans and was certainly never organised, raising kids and training a hubby whilst being this flighty was mostly a spontaneous adventure, I was definitely that mum who woke the kids up early one morning, packed a picnic and drove to Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice…..and also the mum who sent them to school on teacher training days and then went to work before they got home to tell me that the school was closed, thank god my own SuperMum lived in the same street and they could ‘visit’ for the day 😉  Well this lifestyle is slowing changing with the help of my planner, for the last few months I have been getting the hang of planning out my week each Sunday evening and to be fair I haven’t missed an appointment and it has certainly made me stay on task with furniture projects and my blog, and did I mention that I got stickers?? Not like a couple of stickers, I mean hundreds, I kind of went into a sticker frenzy when I got this thing.  I also have these super cute ‘Library Card’ style note pages from Magnolia Market which I also use for weekly shopping notes.  Let me know what you think, are you a planner?  Any tips for me?

This week I’ve also started a new project to revamp this Antique Dresser, I picked it up after someone had spray painted it gold and knew I could get it looking good again, stay posted for an update on this later in the week.  (And yes, this is being painted in my new dining room, it’s too bloody cold to be in the garage right now!)

I also picked up some bargain pieces from a yard sale for upcoming projects, and I need to keep reminding myself that I have to finish the things I’ve started before I tackle these new items, definitely got a bargain on these two though and it makes my heart happy 🙂

Yard Sale Finds

Lastly, I got myself a cute new ‘do’ partly to have something easier to style and partly to cover up my forehead wrinkles, it seems to work for both so I’m happy lol

Sunday Recap

Hope you all had a good week 🙂
