Hello folks, I hope you’ve all enjoyed a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to ringing in the New Year 🍾🎉🥂 .
This is just a quick round-up of my top 3 favorite projects of 2016 as well as some random things that I just like 🙂
This table is still one of my all time favorite projects, the elbow grease, sweat and tears that went into this paid off hugely with this finished piece that looks perfect with this Thanksgiving centerpiece.
I’ve had so many compliments on this thrift store hutch redo and after having it in my dining room all year I finally had to admit that as much as I loved the blue it didn’t actually go with anything else in the room, after toying with the idea of selling it and starting fresh with a new one I eventually made the decision that the makeover needed a makeover, keep an eye out for an upcoming post detailing my dining room update to see the second transformation of this piece.
And who could forget my first attempt at using Dark Wax, this vanity turned out perfect and sold super fast! I am always keeping an eye out for vanities and desk as they are one of my favorite things to work on.
And some defining moments of the year for me……….
When I realized that this is me
When I grew my own veggies!! Anyone who knows me will know that I am the worlds worst gardener but this year something seemed to click and away I went, free veggies and herbs all summer was an awesome treat and I can’t wait to start next spring, in fact I’ve already bought a couple of planters.
I loved getting this picture from my Daughter, my Granddaughter loves her Dr Seuss chair that I painted for her birthday and already likes to sit in it and look at her books.
When I finally got to visit the Silos @. I visited my sister in Texas this October and as luck would have it she lives not far from Waco, I was so excited to be here I forgot about taking pictures, it was a lovely afternoon out with plenty to give me inspiration and the cupcakes at the bakery are divine!
I finally got around to joining twitter, you can find me at The Unicorn Wife and there will be some content on there worth following as soon as I can figure out how to work it.
And finally…..My new motto for 2017 😉
Lastly I would like to say a HUGE thank you for all of the comments, feedback and support this year and I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading my posts as much as I’ve enjoyed working on them and I’m already looking forward to all of the new projects in 2017!
Happy New Year!
